School Competitions

International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) is conducted by Educational Assessment Australia, UNSW Global Pty Limited. UNSW Global is a not-for-profit provider of education, training and consulting services and a wholly owned enterprise of the University of New South Wales.

Students from over 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Pacific and the USA participate in ICAS each year. EAA produces ICAS papers that test students in the following skill areas:

• Computer Skills
• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• Spelling
• Writing

In India, these tests are offered as the International Assessment of Indian Schools (IAIS) through our partners, Macmillan India. Today there are about 350,000 students appearing for the test each year. In 2007, a scholarship program titled the ‘High Achiever Award’ was instituted. The first recipient of this award, Ms. Karthika Mohan began her Bachelor of Engineering in 2008 and has even been on the Dean’s Honour List at UNSW! Click here to know more click here
