Networking in India
UNSW has approximately 170,000 alumni worldwide and the University works together with the Alumni Association to keep in touch with them. UNSW Alumni Chapters are affiliated to the UNSW Alumni Association and exist in Australia and Internationally. The overseas chapters have already been formed in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore by active alumni members keen to maintain contacts with the University and to contribute to the growing reputation of UNSW abroad. Informal networks exist in some other countries.
The UNSW India Office looks at providing a forum for returning UNSW graduates and other alumni. The office will organize functions providing alumni the opportunity to socialize, develop professional networking, to keep in contact with their alma mater, to further the reputation of the University in India.
UNSW Alumni in India have started to provide a mentor service to new UNSW Indian enrolments. Active alumni have made themselves available for contact to answer some simple FAQs or in some cases even meet with parents of prospective students! We would like to thank our alumni for their participation in this program.
UNSW India Alumni Chapter will be set up in the near future and alumni are encouraged to play significant roles within the Chapter. If you think you are interested, responsive, engaged and involved enough to reflect the vision of the UNSW alumni, please contact the UNSW India Office.
